Female Genital Mutiliation (FGM) is a widespread practice where Lydia-Mary comes from in Nigeria. This practice involves injury to the female genital organs. This practice has no health benefits. Girls, ages 1-18 are most likely to be victims of FGM. Lydia-Mary is working to involve awareness on the dangers of FGM. She has organized a capaign of three organized marches during which she distributed informative pamphlets and magazines. With this she hopes to inspire and educate at least 100 people in her community!
