Over The International School of The Hague
At the International School of The Hague, community service is as a core part of the IB student's core curriculum. The focus is put on promoting intercultural understanding of world issues and hands-on experience through the Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS) Programme for IB Diploma students and the Service as Action programme for Middle Years Programme students.
The CAS and Service as Action programmes are wide ranging, allowing students to explore activities that stimulate their interests. They allow students to experience different cultural, social and economic environments and to gain new perspectives on the importance of leadership and service for social change. Often these projects bring students face-to-face with new realities and issues that otherwise rarely touch their lives and thus, become life-changing experiences.
