Over Connect - the communication disability network
Connect is a charity that works with people who have aphasia. Aphasia is a communication disability which usually occurs after stroke or brain injury. Each person with aphasia experiences it differently. Some people cannot speak at all; some people have just a few words. Others can no longer read, write or use numbers. Working in partnership with people with aphasia, Connect runs activities such as conservation groups, informal drop-in sessions and befriending schemes.
