Over Victim Support Scheme

Victim Support Peterborough helps Peterborough residents cope with the effects of crime. We do this by providing confidential support and information to victims of crime.

Our services are free, independent of the police and courts, and available to everyone, whether or not the crime has been reported and regardless of when it happened.

Our services make a real difference to those affected by crime and help them to recover and move on with their lives. In one of our community support roles, you’ll be trained to offer practical and emotional support to people in the local area. We’re looking for reliable volunteers with great people skills, who are able to listen effectively and signpost those in need of support to the information and services available.

We are a registered charity, and a number of our services rely entirely on the generosity of the public. We’re always looking for people to raise our profile in their local community and help bring in vital donations to allow us to continue our work.

If you’re a keen networker, an eloquent speaker or love to organise fundraising events, we’d love to hear from you.

We have a number of offices across England and Wales, including our national support centre in London. These busy offices are often in need of administrative support to help them run smoothly. If you’re looking to donate your skills and experience in this way, find out how to apply for one of our volunteer roles.

Whether you’re a graphic designer, a project manager or an HR professional, we may have a project that needs your expert skills. If you’re interested in giving some of your time to support our work, please send your CV to volunteering@victimsupport.org.uk and we’ll be in touch.
