Help Us Keep the Heart of St. Maarten’s Arts Alive

There’s a quiet magic in handmade creations the kind that tells stories, carries tradition, and connects generations. That’s exactly what Our Creations, SXM Arts & Crafts Foundation has nurtured since 1990. The foundation has been a home for local artists and crafters to share their talents, sell their one-of-a-kind pieces, and pass on their knowledge through workshops and classes.

The Foundation is building its dream a space in Cole Bay dedicated to creativity, culture, and community. This hub not only celebrates the island’s artistic soul but also empowers our elders. Many of the foundation’s artisans are seniors who stay active by teaching traditional crafts to the next generation through jollification.

Through this project, something truly special is also happening: a bridge is being built between young and old. Young people are and can learn hands-on skills directly from the wisdom and experience of their elders forming bonds, sharing stories, and reviving traditions.
