We’re looking for dedicated individuals to assist the Museum for a few hours a week in preserving and sharing the island’s heritage.
Help Share St. Martin’s Past
Do you enjoy exploring the past and want to make a meaningful contribution to the island? The St. Maarten Museum is seeking passionate volunteers to help research, preserve, inventory, and display the island's past.
Whether you’re a student or heritage lover, your help can make a difference!
The museum is open from Monday to Friday
What You’ll Do:
- Help in Research historical events, places, and people from St. Martin’s past
- Assist in organizing and labeling old photographs, maps, and documents
- Conduct interviews with elders or transcribe historical materials
- Contribute to building museum exhibits and educational content
- Assist in the operation of the museum
- Possibility of outdoor activities
Skills Needed:
- Interest in history, culture, or research
- Comfortable using a computer and organizing files
- Good attention to detail
- Patience and innovative skills
- Comfortable moving around and being on their feet, as this role may involve guiding visitors, assisting with exhibits, or helping in different areas of the museum.
